I first became aware of the pop-perfection that is Matt Duncan through another Matt (Jordan of You Ain’t No Picasso) when he put a few songs up which you can find here. I have been really hoping to catch him in the live setting doing his solo work (he also plays keys in the wonderful Englishman). If you’re a fan of Richard Swift or anyone else who can throw down on a pop song and make it something memorable, then you will want to catch Matt Duncan in action.
Thankfully, he is playing this weekend in Lexington at Al’s Bar (corner of 6th and Limestone). Al’s Bar Ris one of my favorite venues in the region. It is a great place to get a drink and watch some tunes. Lexington has a lot of great stuff going on these days so get in on the ground floor and become a fan of Matt’s before he is playing to sold out crowds all over the country.
Show also features Randy Tuesday and The Two Two Tuesdays, and new Lexington band Latin Heat.
