TV on the Radio @ Headliners – 5/12

Big News. TV on the Radio is kicking off their national tour at Headliners on May 12th.  Thankfully drummer Jaleel Bunton has his connections to Louisville, which is likely why we get the honor of starting the tour off.

TV on the Radio’s Dear Science was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2008, receiving a 9.2 from Pitchfork, and making countless “Best Album” lists, including Pitchfork (#6) and ours (3 & 14). The video below probably isn’t the best example, but for those unfamiliar…TVOTR is going to make you dance your butt off, regardless of your own personal view to dancing to indie rock shows. But TVOTR is significantly more than a dance band, having loads of self-conscious doubt and political concern continually resurfacing. In fact, Pitchfork called them “the house band for a country that has no idea what’ll hit it next”.  We’re really excited for this show, and you should be also…

(Thanks Eric Been for the tip)
