PHOTOS: Kings of Leon @ The Palace – 1/20

Photos by Leeland Kessler

We didn’t get to go to this sold out show at The Palace on January 20th, but here are a few reactions from some friends who went:

  1. They quit serving beer way too early T
  2. The lights were by far the most intense and colorful than ever for a KOL show…like the Secret Machines who opened for them a few years ago at the Ryman in Nashville.
  3. They varied from the album versions of songs a bit, something for which they have been criticized in the past for not doing at live shows, so that was good.
  4. The best song was an extended version of Knocked Up.
  5. The Followills seemed to have toned their style down a bit too which was refreshing…for a while they were a little too rockstar with the black leather and all. Caleb just rocked a zip up hoody and jeans.

So there you go.  Wish we could have been there, but you can’t catch’em all.  Thanks to Leeland Kessler for the photos.
