Merry Pranksters’ 22nd Anniversary Show & CD Release Party @ Longshot Tavern – 1/25

The Louisville Merry Pranksters have been rockin’ the Louisville music scene for 22 YEARS!  This Sunday they will celebrate their 22nd Anniversary of their first Sunday Night Show back in 1987 which began at the old Jockamos (now the site of Za’s Pizza). They have played every Sunday for the past 22 years at 8 venues. Presently they have shows every Sunday and Wednesday at Longshot Tavern and there is never a cover charge.  Sunday will also be a CD release party for their new live album, recorded in November at the Brown Theatre.  Listen to one of the track below.

Merry Pranksters- Welcome You Home

  1. What a great band. Wish I had joined before 1999.

  2. Holy shit! This brings back memories. I totally forgot Jockamo’s ever existed. Tom Browning, far left in the photo above, taught me how to play guitar as a youngster in the ‘ville. Glsd to see he is still rockin.

  3. It is so great to see the Pranksters are still performing. I loved the many times we rocked with the McHenry, Miller & Young at Jockamo’s in the early nineties. Man, did we ever have a blast! Davis, Vicky Farmer, Thor and the folks from the Happy Highland Hippy house on Lucia Avenue… what good times those were… Little blue unicorns and their friends, too.
