Louisville is for Covers: Ziggy Stardust @ Skull Alley – 12/6

As we mentioned earlier, the man behind Louisville is for Lovers, John King, is putting out a Louisville is for Covers tribute to David Bowie….The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.  Now word comes from Leo that the corresponding CD release show has been announced for Dec. 6th at Skull Alley.  You can get a copy of the album on Dec. 2 at Ear X-Tacy or Louisville is For Lovers for $10, and I’m sure John will be there at the show with CDs in hand.  There are only going to be 500 made, so be sure to grab one.

The nights show includes performances by Phantom Family Halo, The Slow Break, IamIs, Whistle Peak, Trophy Wives, and Six White Horses and only costs $5 and for the first time there is actually going to be alcohol.  The show is listed to start at 8pm

  3. thanks for all the good words and support for this release. it is one of the best projects iv’e been privileged to work on. i think it really shows how our town can come together to create a memorable event. i am honored to have had the opportunity to work with so many talented musicians, writers, venues and supporters. and to finally have a place available for everyone to come together shows that we truly do have a city to be proud of. and now you don’t need to be sober anymore if you don’t want to.
