Mount Eerie @ Skull Alley – 10/22

Former The Microphones frontman Phil Elverum, the man behind Mount Eerie, along with Julie Doiron and Calm Down, It’s Monday are playing at Skull Alley on Oct. 22nd while out on their tour in support of their new EP Lost Wisdom to be released on Oct. 7th on his P.W. Elverum & Sun label. Unfortunately, we’re just missing the portion of the tour that just came to a close where they were touring with Why?. The most recent incarnation of Mount Eerie is folkier than the punkier stuff he’d released previously. Out on tour with Julie Doiron now who had lent her time and talent to the new EP. Without wasting much time, Dawn, is set for release on Nov. 1st which includes an LP & a hardcover book, and Wind’s Poem in the spring of 2009 which is meant to be a “colossal sounding new album”, so get down to Skull Alley, pay your $7 & get a preview of what’s to come…
