Paste gets in on the PWYW bandwagon

In the last year, since Radiohead released In Rainbows on a Pay What You Want scheme, several artists have followed suit.  Now it seems, one of thte music bizs most important magainzes is doing the same.  Paste Magazine is offering 11 issues on a PWYW method, available for a short time only.  Unlike Radiohead, they don’t intend on reducing the quality so you get the same magazine and the same copy of the album that normal subscribers like us paid full fare for.  I highly suggest checking this out & getting your hands on a subscription.  Please pay something though, to keep the method sustainable, people can’t always take it all for free.  Also, these guys love Louisville, listing Forecastle as one of their summer destinations, listing Ear X-tacy as one of the top record stores, and listing Ben Sollee as one of the “Best of What’s Next“…let’s try to help them out a little, while helping ourselves.

  1. thanks for the tip!

  2. they did this at some point last year, too. i got my subscription for $1. but i didn’t receive like every third issue.
