MidPoint Festival Line-up Announced

MidPoint is going down on September 25-27 this year. Things have changed pretty significantly as this is the first year that Cincinnati’s City Beat will have run the show. You have virtually no reason not to attend this festival as a three day pass is only $30 & you get to see Why?, The Seedy Seeds, Bad Veins, A.A. Bondy, Jukebox the Ghost, Coltrane Motion, Wussy and tons of other incredible bands. Sheer volume of music alone makes this festival worth it. By my count there are 166 bands listed…that’s right…166 bands for $30, that’s less than 19¢ a band, and that’s provided they don’t add any more.

For the full list of bands,

  1. Ha Ha Tonka are pretty great.

  2. Thanks for the love. Some of this list has changed, but you knew that would happen, right? The full schedule is up now at mpmf.com.

We’ve got an incredible line up this year. Every day I seem to be discovering a new favorite band from the list.

    – Dance party with Ruckus Roboticus.
    – Cool indie folk rock from Southeast Engine, moon high, and Peter Adams
    – Sonic explosions from SPECTRUM and Johnnytwentythree

Just too much to point out, but I will note that the WOXY.com stage at Aronoff Center is all ages and the Dewey’s Pizza Stage at Southgate House is 18 and up. Those younger Kentucky music fans should make the trek up for sure.
