Photos: Blondie @ KCA – 6/24

Blondie came to KCA & put on exactly the type of show you would want and expect, still a little sexy, played virtually every song you wanted to hear, and generally rocked the crowd. Her enthusiasm an energy was infectious, and the crowd was amongst the best crowds I’ve seen in a while, with people virtually weeping. The crowd varied from tweens to geris (thus the 7:30 start time), but everyone was dancing and having a good time. Chris Stein & Clem Burke controlled the backing band who gives Blondie everything she needs to bewilder the audience.

While the set overall was good, it wasn’t until the encore that things really picked up, with punch after punch of mega-hits including Heart at Glass, amongst countless others…
