Hot Club of Cowtown @ The Dame – 6/22

 

Hot Club of Cowtown are playing at The Dame on Sunday, June 22.  These guys are a jazz band from Austin, TX who spent a lot of time back in 2004 and 2006 touring with Bob Dylan, opening every single one of his shows that summer.  They’ve recently reformed after a two-year break to pursue side projects & this world tour is to announce their return.   The band hasn’t put together an album since 2005, so perhaps we’ll be seeing that soon, but interestingly, the band was inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame back in 2002.  I won’t claim to know a whole lot about them, but it does sound like it is going to be a good time if you’re in Lexington….

You’ll be able to hear them again on the following day on Lexington’s NPR, as they’ve got a Woodsongs session in the studio…
