Matt Costa @ Headliners – 6/21

Matt Costa is coming to Louisville’s Headliners Music Hall on June 21st, alongside Delta Spirit (a solid americana kind of rock band who have toured with Cold War Kids & Dr. Dog).  The show is 18+, tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Headliners or Ear X-tacy.

Matt Costa is a folk-pop singer/songwriter and has spent most of his touring days opening for the likes of Jack Johnson, G. Love, Donavon Frankenreiter, and a few others in the same line of music. Now headlining, Matt is touring in promotion of his recently released second album, Unfamiliar Faces, which received a 5.4 from Pitchfork.  Don’t take that to mean too much though…if you’re a fan of those aforementioned artists.   I have both this and the first album & really enjoy them both.  All in all, it is good college music, and I expect the draw to be the same…

  1. Hey Cory,

This is Casey from the web team at Sarathan Records. Being a Seattle indie label with a founder who was one of the original employees at, we’re all about the blogsphere.

Right now I’m writing to you about Peter Bradley Adams. I saw that you were a fan of Matt Costa and thought you might enjoy Peter’s Music as well. Peter was a co-founder of eastmountainsouth, who were signed to DreamWorks Records by Robbie Robertson, (yes, of The Band). After the demise of DreamWorks, Peter went on to record a self produced, self released solo album in 2006 titled “Gather Up.” Now we’ve scooped him up, and his new album “Leavetaking” is coming out August 5th. Peter has a masters in composition from the University of Alabama, and this classical background has clearly enriched his songwriting style.

As we always do at Sarathan – we release a free track from the album for anyone and everyone and encourage people to pass it around.

Download Peter’s song “Always” here –

If you’d like to write about him – we’d be glad to send you some more tracks to embed. You can sample some more sounds here:

    All the best,

    Casey / Sarathan Records
