Modest Mouse @ Bogarts - 7/2

Modest Mouse are coming to Bogart’s on July 2 following their tour with REM & The National. Crowds can expect new songs on this tour as Isaac has said to be working on the next album.  I’ve always had a little hesitation seeing Modest Mouse live as I’ve heard less than stellar things about their performances.  I say that despite being a Modest Mouse fan through and through, loving each of their albums (though to be fair, I think fame affected their last album a bit much).  However, Modest Mouse came to Louisville last summer, surprisingly playing at Coyotes, and I heard pretty glowing reviews of the show.  Bogarts is more akin to Headliners, but a little larger, so expect this one to sell out very quickly.

The Mouse played a great show at Coyote’s. Johnny Marr really filled out the sound, and the show was much better than the last couple times I saw them.

So you should probably buy tix to this one. (But it should be noted, Bogarts is a ton bigger than Headliners. Not sure if that’s what you meant.)

Yea, Bogart’s is about the same size as Coyote’s, they both hold about 1500. Headliner’s holds 600. The Coyote’s show was good, anything would be better than when they played the old Male High School in the middle of the summer with no AC.

hey Yeah you really should see them..the old shit about the band being drunk and doing shit shows is very very long gone..now they even make set lists! I’m the MM veteran so I’ll so be there and 1st in line like usual!
